3MVET Recognition Matrix

3MVET Recognition Matrix

The main aim of 3MVET Recognition Matrix is to ensure maximum transferability of the learning outcomes acquired through theory and practice, both in schools and companies, irrespectively of the country/ies where the qualification has been obtained (formal education & training in country of origin; as a result from or in order to carry out labour mobility, i.e. qualified professionals in the labour market; as a result from VET students or staff transnational mobility). The output supports teachers, responsible for the curricula, syllabus and cooperation with the business, mentors responsible for the delivery of the practical training in companies in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Metalworking and Metallurgy, relevant stakeholders responsible for the formal recognition of qualifications obtained abroad and supplying continuous vocational training to fill the gaps and map workers competencies to national requirements. Since our aim is to contribute for easier formal recognition of acquired knowledge, skills and competencies across Europe in the 3M field, as well as ensuring coherence in best-practices applied in different countries, 3MVET Recognition Matrix is focusing on the following topic areas:

  • Overall summary of mechanisms to obtain qualification in the 3M field;
  • List of expected learning outcomes (comparative analysis of differences and similarities, mainly to focus on BG, TK, ES, DE, but also summarizing variations across Europe);
  • List of available qualifications;
  • Mechanisms of formal accreditation and recognition;
  • Continuous VET opportunities in the field - across different countries (comparative analysis of differences and similarities, mainly to focus on BG, TK, ES, DE, but also summarizing variations across Europe);
  • ECVET: principles, transnational mobility, application at system level (in countries where applicable), application at project level, guidance for awarding bodies;
  • Other forms of accrediting and recognizing learning outcomes as part of study, work placement or work experience in a foreign country.
