24 – 28 April 2018: Joint Staff Training in Stuttgart
In the course of the joint staff training in Stuttgart (Germany), 18 participants from four 3MVET partners will be able to get practical insights into Germany’s education in the 3M sector (Mechanical Engineering, Metalworking and Metallurgy), which has proven itself as a good practice model.
As part of the 3MVET project, the joint staff training aims at supporting teachers, mentors and workers, active in the education field of the 3M sector, with the challenging task to develop curricula and a syllabus. Therefore, Palfinger (Bulgaria), Professional Gymnasium of Mechanics and Electrotechnics “9 May” (Bulgaria), Ortaköy 80th Year Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School (Turkey) and Somorrostro Vocational Training School (Spain) sent their delegations to take part in the training from April 24th to April 28th 2018. It is hosted by Klett MINT, which is an agency that is part of Germany’s leading education company: Klett and our German partner in this project.
The training is a combination of visiting small and large firms of the 3M field, training provided by experts and visits to a German VET school and stakeholders in the field. In detail, the Chamber of Commerce of the Stuttgart region will talk about the importance of VET, the training of company mentors and give a faculty tour of their education department. The Ministry of Education Baden-Wurttemberg has invited the delegations to give them insights into the German dual system and the curriculum. Furthermore, the participants will visit the Wilhelm-Maybach-Schule, a VET school for metal casting, automotive engineering and machine technology, in order to get to know their curriculum and syllabus design. The training will be concluded by a visit to the Porsche Museum and some time for leisure, which can be used to explore the city of Stuttgart and the “Frühlingsfest” in Bad-Cannstatt, the largest spring festival in Europe, which will celebrate its 80th anniversary this year.
